October 1st, 2019. It’s 90 degrees outside but hey, it’s a new month and with that comes time for new intentions (and hopefully cooler weather ASAP)! But before I go into how to set yourself up for success every month, I want to also emphasize the importance of taking time to reflect on the past month. What did you accomplish? What were the highs and what were the lows? How can you learn from the past to prepare for the future?
This past month for me was a whirlwind! I started this month by setting intentions for the first time and honestly I did a pretty good job being intentional with what I had written out…Up until I got engaged! September 14th, 2019 will forever be one of my favorite days. After that happened, it was a little more difficult to be intentional with what I had written, as I was busy celebrating and pre-wedding planning (if that’s a thing), but hey, THAT’S OK! I was being intentional in other ways, but I also would love to take my intentions a little farther this month. Like I said, it’s important to reflect so you can prep for your future.
Moving on to October 2019! October is probably one of my favorite months (which is why our wedding will hopefully be during this month next year 🤪). The leaves begin to change, the weather cools off (hopefully), and the end of the year starts to get closer and closer. It’s a season of change and what better way to get things started than to set some awesome intentions for your month?!
Intentions are a great tool to really set yourself up for success each month. They allow you to verbalize and put out into the universe a thought, attitude, or purpose you would be proud to commit to. They shift your mind into gear, changing your perspective from fear and chaos, to peaceful. They allow you to stay present throughout the month, being INTENTIONal with your days because you have thought out and pulled from the deepest parts of your soul the things that really matter most to you. They make you ask the question, “how do you want to show up in the world this month?”.
Pictured are my intentions for October and I would love to go deeper into their meanings so that you can maybe get some inspiration for your own intentions!
- Love, Listen, Move: Love myself everyday by listening to my body, hearing what it needs, and moving accordingly. My “goal” (which is different than an intention), is to move my body every day this month. This intention combines this goal with a deeper purpose I want to work on within myself, loving myself everyday.
- Positive Vibes: Pretty self explanatory, but surrounding myself with positive energy, maintaining positive thoughts and therefore positive actions.
- Community: Ties a little into positive vibes in that surrounding yourself with positive people can really change the trajectory of your life. This word means a lot for me this month as I jump both feet into my Arbonne community, building friendships and a support system that helps me thrive!
- Let Go and Let God: Let go of the BS, let go of the fear, the expectations, the worry, and LET GOD. Let God do his thing, have faith in Him and His purpose for me.
- Steady, Calm, Focused: Staying steady, calm and focused throughout this month. This can be applied while having a conversation with someone or even how I handle an argument. It could also be applied to how I approach my career with Arbonne and Health Coaching.
I make it a creative outlet as well! By coloring them onto paper, I am imprinting them into my memory. I have more of a creative brain and I am incredibly visual so this helps me remember what intentions I set. I will hang this piece of paper in my room where I can see it from my bed, so every morning I wake up I can be reminded of the promises I have made myself for this month!
I hope you all found this helpful when going into this next month! Being intentional can truly make a difference in your days and therefore your month and even your year! Keep it up you guys, 3 months left of 2019. Let’s make them count! Feel free to share your intentions for this month on Instagram and Facebook! I would love to follow along on your own journey 🙂
BWell,
Ashley
